My name is Ismini Aspioti and I am a graduate of Early Childhood Education from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. For the past three years, I have been working in a preschool with children aged 3–4, while for the last two years, I have been living and working in Helsinki. My daily interaction with children and families, combined with my experience in different educational environments, led me to a need for a deeper understanding of modern pedagogical approaches and educational systems. As part of this journey, I had the pleasure of sharing my experience in a recent interview about life and education in Finland, and I further specialized through a seminar on the principles of the Finnish system.

WHY THIS PLATFORM WAS CREATED
This platform was created out of personal experience and real needs that I have encountered throughout my years in the fields of childcare and preschool education.
From 2018 to 2023, I worked as a babysitter in Athens, collaborating with families and preschool-aged children, and to this day, I continue to offer babysitting services in Helsinki. Through this journey, I have experienced firsthand both the needs of families and the challenges faced by babysitters themselves.
As a babysitter and an educator, I have seen how demanding it can be for a family to find someone they truly trust with their child's care, but also how important it is for the caregiver to have clear communication, shared values, and mutual respect. Often, the search is based on ads or recommendations without substantial criteria, overlooking the fact that caring for a child is not just a service, but a relationship of trust.
The platform was designed with the goal of serving as a safe, reliable, and human-centered space for matching families and babysitters in Athens and Thessaloniki. It is based on my personal experience both within the family home and the educational field, taking into account not only availability but also experience, values, and caregiving styles.
At the same time, through articles and videos, my goal is to share knowledge and practices derived from one of the most recognized educational systems in the world—that of Finland. I want to pass on my experience from both preschool environments and family homes, highlighting the importance of play, observation, autonomy, and respect for each child's individual pace.
My purpose is to create a community of information and trust, where families and babysitters can not only connect with one another but also be inspired, learn, and grow together, always with the child at the center.
